Once Sport and FFF Pays de la Loire: A Lasting Collaboration in Coach Education
July 31, 2025
At Once Sport , our goal has always been clear: to make professional video analysis accessible and practical for coaches at every level. Nowhere is this mission more evident than in our long-standing collaboration with the Ligue de Football des Pays de la Loire, the regional arm of the French Football Federation (FFF) .
Together, we’ve spent several years helping to develop the next generation of coaches and analysts across France. Through the Certified Regional Video Analyst Programme , supported by technical advisor Willy Lacoste , Once Sport Analyser has become a trusted tool for learning, insight, and performance.
Now, as we continue into a new season, we’re reflecting on what this collaboration has meant-and how it’s evolving.

A Shared Commitment to Coach Education
The FFF’s Pays de la Loire region is known for its proactive approach to training and certification. In recent years, it has become a leader in delivering structured video analysis education to coaches across all levels of football.
At the heart of this programme is a shared belief: video analysis is not just a tool for elite clubs, but a fundamental part of how coaches understand and communicate the game.
Once Sport has supported the region’s Regional Video Analyst certification for the last 3 years. Now entering its fourth season, the course allows participants to learn practical video analysis, from clip tagging and drawing tools to match breakdowns and presentation.

Practical Tools for a Real Coaching Environment
What sets this collaboration apart is its focus on applied learning. Coaches aren’t just learning theory – they’re using Once Sport Analyserto review real matches, track team movements, isolate patterns, and present ideas clearly to players and staff.
As Willy Lacoste , the region’s Technical Training Advisor , explains:
“While creating a training course for coaches, I discovered Once Sport Analyser. It’s a complete software, easy to use, intuitive, and saves me time. I use Once Sport as part of my coaches’ training in video editing and analysis. The multitude of tagging options is especially useful.”
Another participant, François Houdmond , emphasised the value of the software’s visual tools and ease of use, noting that it allows even less experienced users to highlight key individual or collective behaviours in a professional, dynamic way. Listen to his impressions in the video!
A Presence Across Platforms
Throughout the programme’s development, the Ligue de Football des Pays de la Loire has actively shared its progress, offering a behind-the-scenes look at how video analysis is shaping modern coaching. Here is what they wrote about the last edition of Video Analyst education.
You can check out the videos from the education on their You Tube channel or Facebook page.
This kind of visibility has helped expand the use of video analysis throughout regional football in France – both for coach development and in everyday training environments.
Continuing to Build Together
As we look ahead, Once Sport remains committed to supporting FFF Pays de la Loire and similar federations across Europe. Our goal is to provide coaches, not just analysts, with the ability to understand the game more deeply and communicate it more clearly.
With plans to expand training content, offer region-specific resources, and support further iterations of the video analyst certification, our partnership with FFF Pays de la Loire is set to grow stronger still.
Whether it’s a youth coach learning to tag clips for the first time, or a seasoned professional refining their post-match workflow. Once Sport Analyser is designed to meet them where they are, and take them further .
