Once Sport in Tunisia: Introducing Coaches and Clubs to Video Analysis

You might remember our blog on our team’s trip to the USA. There, we mentioned that this year, we plan on traveling a lot to bring Once Sport to new countries and continents. And our team just got back from one of those trips.
We were in Tunisia, where African coaches went through a video analysis education. The event was hosted by Koora Events. They are a company specialising in the organisation of sporting events, the logistics of internships and matches, and sports science training.
Once Sport education for coaches
As we mentioned, coaches from African countries, mainly Tunisia, participated in video analysis education. The event lasted three days, during which coaches learned how to use Once Sport Analyser, Telestrator, Coach Board, and Autocam through a series of lectures.
Most of the course was held by Damien Guillaume-Bonnin, Once Sport ambassador for French-speaking markets. He introduced coaches to key functionalities such as tagging, drawing, tracking, and live analysis. Additionally, he demonstrated the Once Sport Coach Board.
As a part of his presentation, he was joined by our CEO, Dalibor Čvek . Together, they talked in detail about live analysis and Once Sport Autocam.
Tony Ayache, founder and CEO of EMF(École des Métiers du Football), held the rest of the course. EMF is a school focused on innovation and immersion of French and foreign professional and semi-professional clubs. He discussed the importance of video analysis and ways to use it in more depth. He also discussed his experiences as a video analyst in some of the top French football clubs like Guingamp and Angers.
At the end of the program, all participants took a test to earn their Once Sport video analyst certificate – and we’re happy to report that everyone passed!
Meeting Tunisian clubs and coaches
Beyond the education sessions, we had the unique opportunity to observe a training session with CS Sfaxien’s first team. During the session, we spoke with the club’s analyst, Kacem Bannour , who showed particular interest in Once Sport Analyser’s live analysis feature. We also demonstrated the functionality of Once Sport Autocam and recorded some training footage.
After the session, we met with CS Sfaxien’s head coach, Lassaad Dridi , and his coaching staff to discuss the benefits of video analysis in their training process.
Wassim Moalla , the conditioning coach of the Tunisian national team, also visited us. He shared some of his thoughts on the role of video analysis in modern football. Afterwards, we showed him Once Sport Analyser and Once Sport Coach Board, which he was particularly interested in.
Looking ahead
We want to extend our gratitude to Koora Events and Houcem Boussarsar for their dedication in organising this event. A huge thank you to all participants and everyone we met during our time in Tunisia. We’ve learned so much from you and hope we’ve provided valuable insights in return.
This trip was a continuation of our plan for bringing Once Sport to different parts of the world. We want to make sports technology and sports analysis accessible to everyone. We started the year in America, followed by Tunisia, and next, we’re heading to Portugal !
