Connecting Through Coaching: Once Sport’s Journey in Laos and Thailand

At Once Sport, we believe that real growth happens when knowledge, technology, and passion come together. This summer, we took that mindset to Southeast Asia and visited Laos and Thailand for impactful workshops, meetings, and collaborations. From national federations to international schools, our journey was a powerful reminder of the global football community’s desire to evolve through analysis and innovation.
AFC PRO Course in Laos: Supporting Coaches Across Asia
Our first stop was the Lao Football Federation, where we were invited to be part of the AFC PRO License course . Coaches from across the continent, including Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, and Cambodia , participated in the course.
Throughout the education, all attending coaches will be given full access to the Once SportAnalyserand Once Sport Coach Boardto support their learning and analysis work. During the day-and-a-half workshop, we taught them how to use Once Sport. We were thrilled to see how quickly they adapted to using the tool in their workflow, and their feedback was overwhelmingly positive.
This kind of engagement with elite coaches is exactly where Once Sport shines – bridging the gap between practical coaching and professional-level video analysis.
Bangkok: Building Bridges in the Heart of Asia
In Bangkok , we visited NIST International School, one of our existing clients currently using two Once Sport licenses. We discussed future collaboration, including an exciting idea that they mentioned. Hosting a coaching conference for international schools across Asia in 2026. This initiative has the potential to significantly expand our reach in the educational sports sector while providing value to coaches and students alike.
We also had a productive meeting with Poomfootball , who later became our host in Chiang Rai. These personal connections continue to be key drivers of our growth and success in the region.
Chiang Rai United: A Full-Day Coaching Workshop
In northern Thailand, we partnered with Chiang Rai United to deliver a full-day coaching workshop for approximately 30 coaches . The enthusiasm and engagement were remarkable, as we dove into practical and tactical applications of Once Sport in real match scenarios. These kinds of sessions demonstrate not just our technology, but our commitment to coach development and education at all levels.
Strengthening Relationships Across Thai Football
We also met with the team at EPA Academy, who hold a West Ham United license and have previously used Once Sport. They recently installed aReolink camera on their pitch and are preparing to reintegrate Once Sport into their workflow. We’re excited to support them through this process and explore ways to enhance their analysis setup.
We also met with Pattya Mind , an analyst for the Thai Women’s National Futsal Team and a long-time user of Once Sport.
Meeting Elite Coaches and Future Partners
While in Bangkok, we also had the chance to sit down with Juanma Marrube , head coach of Black Pearl United , a top-tier futsal team. Originally from Spain, Juanma expressed a strong interest in using Once Sport specifically for drawing and tactical visualisations. It’s always encouraging to see professionals recognize the power of our platform.
Lastly, we had a meeting with Kimhun , the founder of his own football academy in Thailand. After an in-depth demonstration of Once Sport, he expressed a keen interest in implementing the software in his daily coaching work.
Looking Ahead
Our time in Laos and Thailand highlighted the growing demand for smart, intuitive, and practical analysis tools in both elite and grassroots football. From national federations to international schools and futsal clubs, the impact of our visits is already being felt—and we’re just getting started.
